The Sony MultiscanTC Trinitron monitor maximizes viewing area and minimizes the guesswork in matching color output to screen image. The 20-inch monitor has a 19.1-inch viewable area, and its creative control features let you make critical color decisions.
The MultiscanTC's beam current feedback (BCF) system controls color stability by measuring the consistency of the phosphors, keeping the black-and-white levels constant. Its digital uniformity compensation (DUC) matches the color and brightness of areas on the periphery with areas in the center, with the help of an RGB (red, green, blue) sensor. You can control on-screen temperature by selecting preset temperatures of 3000, 5000, 6500 or 9300 degrees Kelvin and then making adjustments in 100-degree steps.
The monitor reaches a resolution of 1280x1024 with a horizontal scanning frequency of 31.5kHz to 85kHz and a vertical scanning frequency of 50Hz to 150Hz. It is Energy Star, TCO 92, MPRII and VESA DPMS compliant.

Do you sometimes wish you could turn your 17-inch monitor into a 21-incher when working on a long vertical document? Well, you literally can with the ADI MicroScan 17X.
The monitor pivots to give you nearly 12.5 inches of vertical capacity in vertical/portrait mode, allowing you to fit an 8.5- by 11-inch legal or A4 document on your screen. The vertical capacity is about one-third larger than a conventional 17-inch monitor and about 3/4 of an inch longer than a typical 21-inch screen.
When working on wide applications like spreadsheets and presentation graphics, you can rotate the screen 90 degrees for horizontal/landscape mode. You can also turn the screen between vertical and horizontal modes by pivoting the monitor with your fingers and using a hotkey to rotate the on-screen image.
$859 (street).
